How does the new home process work?

Traditionally the first step in building a custom home is the selection of a lot. The lot topography may determine the garage location, basement exposure, and house orientation. After a lot has been selected an architect can then begin to either modify an existing plan if one has already been selected or potentially design a custom home to maximize the characteristics of the lot. Upon completion of the plan a builder can then begin to price the home based on the desired finishes. The design and construction time frame will vary for each home but it is not uncommon for the design process to take approximately 3 mos. and the construction time frame from 10 mos.-1yr.+.

What schools will residents attend?

Forest View Elementary

Olathe West High School

Timberstone Ridge offered a different approach to residential development and design. Rather than nature as a hastily landscaped afterthought, it's instead of the driving force behind this unique community's planning and construction. The streets were designed to take advantage of the rolling topography which minimized the impact of the tree removal and provides privacy in addition to incredible views of untouched areas of nature.  New homes are build near Olathe's shops, services, dining, entertainment, and recreation throughout Johnson County and the larger Kansas City metro area.
